Music Magazine extra thumbnail work

 These are some more thumbnails i did research on and made and these thumbnails were specifically made for kpop and jpop Magazine research and the reason is because i am doing a music magazine on kpop and after kpop the next big music type in Asia would be jpop and so naturally i chose that as my next researched market to go in to as it can offer some help in what a front page music magazine should be , and like i said before its the next biggest music type after kpop in Asia and so they similar so it would be easy to find ideas off one another. 

This is a thumbnail of another kpop magazine i have researched and looked into and this one is called kpop life and this helped me in showing me what looks good and what doesn't look good with a kpop magazine even though i didn't use its ideas in my magazines final outcome it did help me in guiding me on what to do like it was like a template that was already made and just needed to be filled in. 

This magazine again was another kpop magazine i researched however this one is different because with this one i actually used some on the designs and the layouts of the magazine in my final outcome and so again like the other one is was like a template already made and ready to be used it just needed the right type of magazine. 

These are my Japanese music magazines thumbnails and the reason i made these is to try and give me diversity with my work and to maybe give me ideas on my magazine even though i didn't use them. when trying to find Japanese magazines it was hard so i had to use the first ones i found and luckily it didn't take that long to find the second one after the first. 

This is the next music magazine thumbnail based on jpop i made and this one again i didn't use but it gave me diversity and a wide reach on what other magazines look like because altogether i made a thumbnails of  different county magazines so Korea, japan , America , United Kingdom and so with these designs it allows me to have a wide reach on music magazines and what other countries and other cultures like. 

Kpop Magazine Contents Page Comparing

This is My first attempt at making a Contents Page for a Kpop Music magazine and so when making this it was difficult because i didn't know what to or how to make it look even with the research i did and so when making it i used a couple different Contents pages and i made it that way. 

This is my updated Version of the Contents page and as you can see there is some similar things like the red and purple and the pink text but there is also a lot different like my own pictures , the text in the middle not being as eye catching and the fact that it looks more professional and cleaner in terms of the positions of some things and the layout of the contents page. 

Kpop Magazine Double Page Spread Comparing

This was the first attempt at making a double page spread and so when making it i had to do a lot of research about what a Double Page Spread was and since i was doing kpop my search was kind of difficult since there aren't that many picture of Kpop Double page spreads and so making it i used pictures form online because i didn't know it had to be my own pictures and so i didn't know there had to be columns for the text and so later on i changed this and a lot more. 

This is the remade version of my Double page spread and this has The Text in columns like most Double page spreads have and the text is also in a different font because it wasn't as readable and i also added more text and because its makes the reader want to read more or look for the text on the face and if they don't have time to read it or cant carry the magazine they can just go online to find it and then read more about it i also added page numbers because all double page spreads have them and i made some text green is because this is the text that suppose to stand out so either one of two things you look and remember that or you see that text and want to find out about it.

Kpop Magazine Front Page Comparing

This is the first cover of a music kpop magazine i made and this with the idea of having it look like the magazine would be cool and this didn't really work out because the picture that i used on the front didn't really suit a kpop magazine style so i decided to change that as one of the first priority and then the next thing was the writing on the right and this is because i wanted to make it more diverse with the chosen Kpop bands and because most of the ones i chose are well known some of them others aren't so i then replaced them with more well known ones and added some more in. i also made the background darker.

This is my second design of my front cover and this also includes the changes i made to the first one in changing the picture and text to making the look of the second one look more professional and so that it makes it seem like its from an actual institution and made from a company i also like the way the picture has the fade/removed shadows so that the red background  makes the picture standout second from the title. 

Kpop Magazines Researched

This is one of the magazine i researched about , the cover might not be the same but its still the same company and they still have the same type of design with them with the picture of the model/celebrity on the front and the writing and other things around it. 

This again is a magazine company i researched about however they might not be a kpop magazine company but it still distributes kpop magazines and still reaches a wide audience so i still used it and it may not be the same picture as the thumbnail one but again still same company same layout and etc. 

With this magazine its again not a fully kpop magazine with a Korean company distributing but it still has the Korean magazine Style and it also includes Korean and English words and this shows that it is trying to hit a wide target audience    

With This Magazine this is how i based my magazine on with the title on the top and the righting of famous kpop stars on the right and i also included a color scheme like this magazine has and with mine its is a red , purple and black.

This is and edit of my other front cover with some minor tweaks here and there not much however those tweaks help to tie in my contents and double page spread and with this front page i have looked a lot of kpop magazines and when looking at them i liked a lot of the styles they used when making the magazine and example of this is "merlito KPOP" magazine with the use of text running down the right side of famous kpop names/bands and i also liked having more people on the magazine because with just one it looked ok but it looks better having more people because it fills more space and with the help of Photoshop i cut out a lot of the shadows and i accidentally cut out a bit of my friends  face and it looked good so i decided to keep it and do the same of the others i also wanted to make the text look brighter and the back ground to make it glow more so i made the background darker and put a white glow effect on the black text of my magazine so it stands out more.

Magazine Contents page draft 3

This is my contents page for my magazine and i have created this with the mind set of keeping my contents page in the same style as i have done with my double page spread and with my front page. I have also used my research of kpop magazines to help design the contents page and a big influence of that is one contents page with was a girls generation page and so i have tried to recreate that style whilst keeping it my own and having my own style to it.

On this video i have made some more editing and i have also edited in a outro for my video and the song in the back ground is the song called "Mr Mr" (remixed) by Girls Generation which my magazine is based on so i felt that it was appropriate for a backing track  

Media Evaluation print screens

These are The Screen shots from when we were editing our media evaluation using song Vegas pro and the reason I took these is to show progress and to show that i can use Sony Vegas and that I know how to add text transitions and also edit the video show that it doesn't have a lot of pointless audio and video. 

In this screen shot it is about showing that i can add text in to Sony Vegas and I understand that when using the text that certain colors don't fit in with the video and there is also certain places were the text would fit perfectly because it is dark enough so the text would be readable and i also know These are just again me adding text and knowing what font , color and size to make them 

This print screen is to show that I can also edit my video and I know when to cut out parts that are unnecessary and would just hinder the video and make it look bad because of how there is a lot of silence and stuttering.

Magazine Contents Page Draft 2

This is my new version of my contents page and with this contents page i like it because it fits the codes and conventions of my music magazine and also has the same color scheme as my front page and double page spread

Photo shoot for magazine

 There are all the photos which were taken during the time of the photo shoot

These are my first poses for my photo shot and the reason its like this is because it is suppose to have this cool and mysterious feel when you look at the picture. so i had set up the lighting and pose to try and recreate that feeling and as you can see by the photos some came out good and some not so well however with these photo i can see what i have done wrong and i can use them to fix the mistakes to improve my work. I also took photos of them in different stances and poses like in one of my photos  the main model (Boj) is standing in the front of the picture looking down while the other two Danny (on the left) and Owen (on the right)  are standing further back looking at each other and this is to show that Boj is the main person which should be seen first and he is whats important and in the ones were they are siting down that's was just for my contents page and some extra shots in case i needed to use them.

Preliminary Task write up

In the preliminary task we were told to make a school magazine in teams and on my team I had Boj , Danny and Ryan and when we go paired together we decided to not waste time and get started.So we were all given a role to do and the role Boj had was to make the pages , Danny had the job of interviewer , Ryan was to go had out questionnaires and gather information on the Target Audience and my job was to take the photos and help Danny with interviews. We created the pages by having a meeting and talking about how it would look what we would need and so once we got our pictures and wrote our interviews we gave them to Boj then he made what we needed the software used was Microsoft word , power point and excel and Photoshop however i don't know the font or the size and what inspired us was just throwing ideas and thoughts as well as  the questionnaires  because it gave us all the information needed  for us to make the work we just needed to put it in to context.
